FAMILIES

Adventures have remained closer to home in recent years as we’ve had two children each. As godmothers to each other’s daughters, we can’t wait to show them what they can achieve with courage and a bit of self-belief.

RACE ACROSS AMERICA

In June 2019 Sandy took on a new challenge behind the scenes as part of the support crew for the Mind Over Matter team in the Race Across America. Cycling in shifts and covering 3,000 miles from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic, the team of 8 exceptional women are serving or have served in the military and between them have faced paralysis, amputations, strokes and PTSD before taking on this formidable challenge.

BAFFIN ISLAND, CANADA

Sandy joined a ski mountaineering expedition, Arctic Mountaineer, in Baffin Island, Canada in April 2019.

CLIMBING MONT BLANC

In September 2018, Sandy and Sophie summited Mont Blanc, the highest peak in Europe. Departing at 2am and enduring a 15hr day, they stood, breathless, at 4,810m before navigating a hazardous descent through rockfalls.

GAVARNIE TRAIL MARATHON, PYRENEES

Sophie ran her first ever marathon and it wasn’t an easy one! In June 2018 she ran 45km of the Gavarnie Trail in France, climbing a total of 2,860m in the spectacular surroundings of the Pyrenees, complete with torrential rain and thunderstorms!
